Unpopular Opinion: John Galliano
Ever since designer John Galliano was fired from Dior for making some - shall we say - vulgar comments, we've been told Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci is taking over. Sure, Galliano made some very unnecessary remarks, but can anyone take his place?
Our opinion? No. John Galliano was refreshing, exciting, daring, and bold. Not to say Dior can't pull it off again, but the look will definitely have a shift in appearances. Although Tisci might try to keep Dior authentic, every single designer brings something new to the table - regardless of the look and feel of the fashion prior. Much like Karl Lagerfeld re-invented Chanel after Coco, this design line is going to take an absolute turn...the question is, for better or worse? We'll have to wait and see. Personally, I think the line will still be amazing, but will lack Galliano's magic touch.
And for the rumours that Marc Jacobs would be taking over the line:
"No. I hadn't even been asked."
And NY Mag.com says that Bernard Arnault, chairman and founder of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, can't officially make a decision before Galliano's contract is terminated, but that "Tisci has signed his Dior contract already."
What do you guys think? Can anyone place the great John Galliano?

gaga, we love you.
Love her or hate her, she's a performer. And she sure knows how to attract attention. Lady Gaga released an "emaciated" photo of herself on her Twitter earlier and there are already articles speculating about her "rail-thin" appearance.
My perspective? Come on! I don't think she meant for people to speculate about her weight at all! If you didn't see the "Born This Way" music video, she looked like this the entire time to portray a make believe species. Personally, I feel this photo is art. She's brilliant; controversial for sure, yet brilliant. She's trying to promote her new album, and she's always been known to make a statement- I think she's just following the lines of her video, with the whole new species persona. However, some probe that it is to emphasize her thin appearance...oh, hollywood. That's all i have to say. Thoughts?
